Week 123

I sat down to make this menu plan today, and it was like I have never made a meal in my life before. I had no idea what to make. It doesn't help that I am trying to reduce how much I eat (which is really no fun when I like food as much as I do). So here is my measly attempt at a meal plan. And though there are only six meals on this week, the Bjork household knows that there is always spaghetti and meatballs in the banana stand, er, refrigerator.

Menu:

Burritos (there are also always burritos in the banana stand)

Goat Cheese Souflee + Mixed Greens

Swamp Soup + Bread (which I am thinking of doing this to - but remember, trying to eat fewer calories... so boring)

Carnitas + Slaw + Pickled Onions (praise a good pickled onion!)

Gingered Chickpeas + Raita - I have made this a few times now, it's awesome and cheap!

Chicken in Milk + Sweet Potatoes

and as I have been sorely tempted to buy some kombucha (that is way too much money), I am going to try my hand at a ginger bub. It kind of scares me, but what is the worst that could happen?? I could be saying that on my ride to the hospital, but, whatevs.

Oh, and bc I am super lame, I did not record the meals from last week. So here they are. We ate all of it, except the coconut curry, I will carry that over to this week.

Sweet Potato Salad + Wild Rice

Fried Rice (with leftover wild rice) + Roasted Butternut Squash + Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Maple and Fish Sauce (amaze balls)

Sausage and Kale Soup + Bread

Braised Brisket (this was a 2 day meat cooking love affair) + Carrots + Boiled and Roasted Potatoes (from my British boyfriend, Jamie Oliver)
